Used to be great. New ownership and new increased prices. Service was slow, as was the restaurant. Give it a year and it will be sold to someone else. If I'm laying these prices I'm not eating there. Sorry. I'll go to the Paddock

One of the prime ribs in my life. Love this place. Just wish I'd found it sooner. Update August 2019 The new cook has improved the already delicious food. She has made this officially my favorite place for prime rib. She also cooks veggies better than they had in the past.

One of the best cream of crab soups this native Baltimorian had ever had. Along with great service and awesome specialty drinks. This is my favorite spot since moving to PA.

Food was delicious and great service, definitely recommend anyone here if they want a good steak.

Coombs is the BEST. Crab cakes are delicious, steak is always perfect, and the Prime Rib, there are no words Just go and try the best youll have anywhere.

I must say, from the outside I began to wonder. The inside was a bit crowded, but hands down very good food! The staff was awesome and it will be a definite must go back! 5 stars from me and my wife.

We had a dinner for my brothers birthday on November 21. Food was fine. We left a 50 cash tip. We did not realize that Christine G that she added another 37 tip. My mom paid the bill she is 80. On a limited income. We have contacted the restaurant and no one will return the call. Very said to take money from a old woman.

Nice neighborhood restaurant/lounge. Steak was good, not great; not cheap. Service was very good despite a long wait for food from kitchen.

New ownership ,now experiencing learning curve after being owned by the same people for over 20 years!

Good food. A little pricey

Food was good...especially liked the red skin mashed potatoes. Crab legs were a bit salty n tough. The prime rib is flavorful, but I feel like it leaves something to be desired. If ur under 40, u will stand out. The people were great until "closing time" which means let all of our friends in even tho we're closed. N I ain't mad about that, but I am mad about the attitudes of some of these "friends."

Best prime rib ever!

Just had dinner at Coombs and although the prime rib was great, everything else about the experience was a big, big disappointment. The sides were cold, the baked potato was reheated and Brown on the Inside, the salad was nothing special and there was no bread.The service was terrible. She asked if I wanted my appetizer with my meal or before? When she brought the meal there were no condiments. We had to ask for butter, sour cream, tartar sauce, horseradish. After the meal came, she brought my salad. Then we got the bill. Never asked if we wanted dessert or anything. As a waitress for many years, I appreciate good service and this was not that. It was a very disappointing birthday dinner for me. Will not be back any time soon. We were also the only ones there and now I understand why!!!

Place was unorganized, Bartender and waitress. My wife and were not even greeted we set at round tables at the bar are. A waitress threw 2 sets of dinner ware down and 1 menu never said a word. After about 7 minutes went to the bar for 2 beers. Bartender would not even make eye contact. I'm not even ho to talk more about our dinner. Bottom line, it isn't worth your time go some where else place sucks now

Poor service. Waiting for food for over half an hour....not busy...only one disorganized waitress. No silverware... no dinner rolls....which I need for the bad moscato. Waiting to see if our food comes out cold...the neighboring table is now complaning loudly about their food. Such a shame....used to be a great place.

Great service, good food, reasonable prices.

Ordered stuffed mushrooms for appetizer, never got them. Ordered the Coombs cut prime rib, did not get any au jus whatsoever with it. Salad and rolls were great! Prime rib was TOUGH AND CHEWY!!! I have had way better. I recommend you save your hard earned money and go elsewhere....

Was a great neighborhood bar.... However the new owner ruined it and got rid of a server that has been there 15+ years upon other staff that was more then capable to make the place run. Was always a great staple to go to... However past 2 times the bartenders do not know the menu, kitchen is mediocre, and no longer has that “home” feeling!! Not good qualities when you RAISE the price extremely!!!

I have to say this was the last chance I was giving them. And now I think they have gotten a lot better since the new owners have taken over

Great place. The food was delicious and service was fast and friendly. Nice atmosphere. They are famous for the fish soup but we got the clam chowder which was super. Everything we had was very good. They are a little off the beaten path but so worth the visit.

Was there for Restaurant Week 2019 and was impressed by their specials for the week. Will definitely be back. A nice little selection of craft beers, on draft and in bottles/can.

Prime rib was not as good as it has been( tasted reheated ), oysters were burnt on one side, seafood Alfredo was excellent.

Waitress was a little slow not knowing what was going on. Got to be a good waitress buy the middle of serving us. I think she was new and just trying to get it together. Went on valentines days the specials were great . The food was terrific. Steak melted in your mouth. Great experience.

Been awhile since we been here, I have to say we were very disappointed in the prime rib, just doesnt have that flavor like it used to be, HUGE amount of fat, both of our king cuts were different sizes, his was more of a queen with a massive piece of fat on it, didnt pay $68 for fat, salad was brown, baked potatoe hard, no bread??...for the money we spent without even getting drinks we will not be coming back here any time soon, no wonder business is hurting, that's pretty bad when our server told us it's going down hill due to the quality of food, now we know why! All in all it was good but I think next time we will go to Outback for half the money with drinks and a lot less fat.

They served a member of our party rancid steak and then charged us for it. The Prime Rib was on the tough side. Prices were very high.

We had a really nice time here early on a Friday evening. Decent bang for the buck. Service was great. Food was good too. It wasn't cheap, but it's not over priced either if that makes sense.

The cream of crab soup was delicious omg and the wings were fried to protection this place never fails me.

The prime rib is amazing. The prime rib sandwich a bargain. The 4.75 burger is an excellent deal. I remember having some seafood dishes a long time ago and they were also very good.

Prime Rib melt is the best I have ever had. Never once had a bad meal there and the prices are good. Great service with great staff. A must go to place for a great meal!

I used to go to Coomb's all the time. It was THE go to place for great steaks at great prices. York's hidden gem. Well, it had been a while since I had been there, and unfortunately, things are not what they used to be. Now under new management, the prices have been increased tremendously, and the food quality has suffered. The prime rib is no longer top tier, but rather average to below average fare. It saddens me that a place that used to be so good had changed for the worse. The staff however are very nice, so this review is not a reflection of service.

I can from out of town and went to this spot and the crabcakes where amazing the rice was super delicious and the young lady that help us was very professional and did a great job. Thanks next time I'm in York Coomb's is a much stop.

Great food good service

Amazing daily specials that will not disappoint. Tacos are the special on Mondays; can't go wrong! If you like seafood, this is a gem of a spot! They also known for the Queen Prim rib.... one word: MEAT SWEATS! Yummy yummy meat sweats!

Rude Server...Very Slow To Get Prime Rib...Meat Undercooked

Stopped in and found a warm and welcoming neighborhood bar. The staff where very friendly, and the patrons I met, as friendly. Reminded me of when I was growing-up in my old neighborhood; we had the same kind of bars. Food was tasty, the wine I had with my meal was very drinkable. I do have to mention, if you are a beer drinker, they have a good selection. What sold me on this place was the atmosphere, friendly. Will be coming back.

Had prime rib, largest size. Asked for baked potato and that's what I got. Not split, no butter, sour cream or chives, just a potato. Otherwise fine
